Daflon 500 is a venotonic (it increases venous tone) and a vasculoprotector (it increases resistance in small blood vessels). it is active on the return vascular system in the following way: 1. It reduces venous distensibility and venous stasis. 2. In the microcirculation, it normalizes capillary permeability and reinforces capillary resistance. Indications: For treatment of organic and functional chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs with the following symptoms: swollen legs, pain, nocturnal cramps. For treatment of chronic haemorrhoids and acute haemorrhoidal attacks. Dosage and Administration: Usual dose in chronic conditions: 2 tablets daily in two divided doses morning and evening at mealtimes. In acute haemorrhoidal attacks: 6 tablets daily (in 3 divided doses) for 3 to 4 days, then 4 tablets daily (in 2 divided doses).
